The School of Computing and Data Science (https://www.cds.hku.hk/) was established by the University of Hong Kong on 1 July 2024, comprising the Department of Computer Science and Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science and Department of AI and Data Science.

HKU Targets 50% Non-local Student Ratio, with Growing Interest in CDS Delta+ Tech Immersion Fellowship

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) expects non-local students to make up half of its undergraduate population in next academic year, following the increased admission quota announced in the latest Policy Address.
 

According to The Standard, HKU projects an intake of over 1,600 non-local students — an increase of approximately 400 compared to last year. The surge highlights growing global interest in HKU’s innovative academic offerings, particularly those offered by the School of Computing and Data Science (CDS). The newly launched “Delta+ Tech Immersion Fellowship” has been major draw for international applicants.
 

The Delta+ Fellowship is designed to nurture globally competitive tech talent by offering a rigorous education in computing, artificial intelligence, and data science. Graduates are equipped to lead in the digital era, driving innovation and shaping the future of technology.
